SweatWall puts apps you choose behind a burst of physical movement. These terms describe what you get, what it costs, and what we promise.
The licence
Your use of SweatWall is governed by Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement, which applies to apps bought through the App Store. This page states the SweatWall-specific terms in plain language and does not replace it. Where the two disagree, the Apple agreement governs.
Memberships
SweatWall gives you a number of free unlocks to try it. After those, keeping the wall up requires a membership. There are three, and there is deliberately no weekly plan:
- Lifetime — a single payment. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.
- Yearly — renews once a year until you cancel.
- Monthly — renews once a month until you cancel.
Prices are shown in the app in your own currency, as the App Store reports them for your region. All three cover every protected app, both exercises, and future updates.
Free trial
Both subscriptions offer a seven-day free trial to new subscribers. The trial is available once — taking it on one subscription uses it for both, since they share a single subscription group. If you cancel before the trial ends you are not charged. Otherwise the subscription begins at the end of the trial.
Renewals and cancelling
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling happens in the App Store, not in SweatWall — we have no ability to cancel or refund on your behalf. Your plan screen links straight to Apple’s subscription settings.
Cancel at least 24 hours before a renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies.
Turning protection off is always free
This is a promise the app keeps structurally, not a courtesy: turning off all protection is free forever, on any plan, including no plan, and takes effect immediately. There is no membership check anywhere on that path. When the wall is in front of you, the Fire Exit lets you through in seconds with no questions asked.
SweatWall is a self-control tool you point at yourself. It is not parental control, it is not supervision, and it is not designed to stop somebody else from reaching their phone.
Physical activity
SweatWall asks you to exercise, and you should judge for yourself whether that is safe. It is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. If you have an injury, a heart condition, are pregnant, or have any reason to be careful about exertion, talk to a doctor before using it.
Setup asks about your knees and your lower back and removes an exercise that would not suit you. Answer it honestly — and stop if something hurts. Turning protection off is free, and doing that is always a better option than pushing through pain.
What we do not promise
SweatWall depends on Apple’s Screen Time and Family Controls systems to place the wall. Those are Apple’s, and they can change or fail in ways outside our control. We cannot guarantee that a shield appears every single time, and you should not put an app you need in an emergency behind the wall.
The app is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded and those in the Apple agreement above.
Your data
SweatWall collects nothing and has no server. What the app stores stays on your device. The privacy policy has the detail.
Who we are
SweatWall is made and published by Engineers Space LLC, which is the party these terms are with — “we” and “us” on this page mean that company. Written questions reach us at hello@sweatwall.app.
Changes to these terms
If the app changes in a way that affects these terms, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
